MineSec strengthens security with PCI DSS certification

MineSec announces their PCI DSS certification status.

MineSec has obtained PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification, providing an added layer of security and shortening time to market for their customers’ SoftPOS solution with reduced certification requirements. This achievement is also testament to MineSec’s readiness to comply with PCI Mobile Payments on Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (PCI MPoC) certification requirements.

With the increasing number of contactless payments transacted around the world, there is growing concern over potential risk of data breaches and the safety of personal data. PCI DSS, the global security standard established to protect consumers and reduce data breaches across the payment ecosystem, is applied to any organization that accepts, transmits or stores any cardholder or authentication data.

Payment service providers who choose to leverage on MineSec SoftPOS technology can ensure that all their merchants will have their consumers’ card data protected. The payment service providers are also assured of reduced testing requirements when undertaking PCI Contactless Payments on COTS (PCI CPoC) certification for their SoftPOS.

“The demand for more convenient and secure payment modes from both merchants and consumers will not ease, so we are always finding new ways to improve our solutions and to better partner our customers in developing their next payment innovations,” says Jean-Luc Khaou, Chief Operating Officer of MineSec.

“We are proud to have achieved the PCI DSS certification as this additional security assurance also alleviates our customers’ PCI CPoC certification burden. It reduces the testing scope and shortens the time to market for our customers’ SoftPOS solution.”
